Jo is a NASM certified personal trainer, a NESTA certified heart rate performance specialist and a rotational sports specialist. As a a former college athlete, she obtained her Bachelor's of Science at Columbus State University in Georgia.
During her training, she focuses on mobility, functional training and weight loss. Her passion is to create a holistic and disciplined training that will last her clients a lifetime.  During her free time, you'll most likely find her spending time with her dog or watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

With over a decade of training athletes ranging from recreational and outdoor sports, all the way up to the pros, brings performance based principles to help individuals establish lifestyles that pave a way to a stronger future filled with health, and human performance.

Maria believes that building a strong body shouldn't come at the expense of your peace of mind. As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, she specializes in mobility, strength training, and functional movement designed to help you move better in everyday life. Maria brings a deep sense of empathy to every session, knowing that starting or returning to an exercise routine can feel intimidating; her goal is to meet you exactly where you are with zero judgment.

Beyond the gym floor, Maria is a Board Certified Health Coach with extensive experience supporting clients managing obesity, prediabetes, and diabetes, as well as those navigating life on recently popular GLP-1 medications. She bridges the gap between fitness goals and everyday life. And when not nerding out on wellness, you can find her backpacking and hiking or hosting sober curious community events around Asheville.

Owen is a licensed instructor in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu through the headquarters dojo located in Noda, Japan. Owen began his martial arts career when he was in middle school training in Karate. Since then his martial arts training was off and on with different styles, such as Judo and Kendo until 2006 when he was introduced to the Bujinkan while living in Orlando, Florida.

Owen trained in Orlando for several years until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After receiving an Honorable Discharge he began training again in Titusville, Florida. In 2018, he moved to Asheville, North Carolina and has continued his training and eventually earned his Godan (5th degree black belt) in 2021. He currently holds the rank of Rokkudan (6th degree black belt.)

Owen is passionate about teaching and constantly looks forward to the next class, excited to get together with his students and train. His approach to training with the Bujinkan is to study the art. Not just the physical aspect, but the history and culture of Japan as well. During his free time, Owen likes to play video games and spend time with friends and loved ones.
